An exciting opportunity exists at Manningham City Council for motivated people to join the Children’s Crossing Supervisors team.
The current vacancies support permanent supervisors in the event of unplanned absences.

These positions will assist pedestrians and students to safely cross streets and roads.

Pay and conditions:

• Pay of $25.65 per hour plus casual loading.
• Hours of employment are usually 8.15am until 9am and 3.15pm until 4pm, Monday to Friday.
• Work maybe offered during school terms.
• You must be available to be on site throughout Manningham within 30 minutes.

Council provides:

• Uniform and all of the necessary equipment
• Fully paid training
• The possibility to obtain permanent employment as a Children’s Crossing Supervisor.

Requirements:

• A police check and a Working With Children Check.
• A current drivers licence valid in Victoria.
• Ability to clearly communicate and develop working relationships with children and members of the community and schools.
• Basic understanding of Victorian Road Rules and how they apply to operating school crossing.
• Ability to record and report any Occupational Health and Safety incidents on the crossing.
• Ability to assess traffic conditions to ensure safe use of the crossing.
• Ability to identify hazards and react quickly.
• Ability to perform the job in all-weather conditions common to Melbourne Metropolitan area.
• Availability to work during school terms.
