We are seeking a number of Customer Services Officers to work up to 20 hours per week. Work will be allocated on a roster basis and spread across our service hours of Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Candidates may specify their availability in their application. Preference will be given to applicants with availability on a Monday.
The Customer Service Officer provides outstanding customer service across a range of channels including phone, in person and in writing. The aim of the team is to resolve the majority of enquiries at first point of contact and to do so in a courteous, respectful way in line with our organisational values.
The ideal candidate will have:
- demonstrated experience in providing customer service, both over the phone and in person, in a large or complex organisation.
- ability to build rapport with internal and external customers to gain their cooperation and assistance in resolving enquiries and requests.
- ability to use discretion and diplomacy in dealing with customer enquiries and complaints.
- ability to apply basic conflict resolution skills in managing difficult customers.
- demonstrated ability to complete tasks within agreed timeframes and the flexibility to respond to changing priorities.
- strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare a range of correspondence and reports.
- ability to manage time, set priorities and organise work outputs.
- tertiary qualifications in customer service or other related discipline would be well regarded.
